Brinson Dabney - 10-2nd
Update on Brinson Dabney. He is in the process of his chemo and radiation treatments for cancer, but the news is he is doing well. Brinson, we miss you and you are in our prayers. We hope to see you at the next meeting!

Chris Oldmixon - October 2nd
Please keep our member, Chris Oldmixon, in your prayers too. We just found out that he will be starting treatments for cancer next Tuesday. Please drop him a call or card in the mail and let him know you are thinking of him.

Joe Moran - October 2nd
One of our members, Joe Moran, his son was involved in a bad motorcycle wreck last Sunday, 9-28-08. He was on a motorcycle and a car pulled out in front of him. He is in the hospital in Tyler and is in pretty bad condition. Thank you to everyone that donated at the chapter meeting to help Joe with expenses.

Congratulations to all of the winners at the BBQ cook-off!! The Almeda Gang won 3rd in chicken and People’s Choice, BBQ Johnny’s won 3rd in pork and best beans, The Confederate Cookers won 2nd in chicken, The Flamin’ Harley Babes won 2nd in beef, The Knuckleheads won 2nd in pork, Ms. Vickie kicked butt with 1st in chicken, 1st in pork, and 3rd in beef, and The Speedway Cookers won 1st in beef and Cook’s Choice!!

Lonestar Rally - Galveston, TX
I know that we have several members that plan on attending the Lonestar Rally in Galveston. It has been rescheduled from 10-31-03/11-2-08 to 12-11-08/12-14-08. You can check out the Lonestar Rally on at this link.

New Year's Eve Party Scheduled for Saturday 12-27-08
We are planning the have our New Year's Eve Party at the Sports Shack on Saturday, 12-27-08. There is no admission (but we are taking donations). There will be a live band, drinks, and food! Plan on coming and have a good time!

2008 East Texas McDreamy WINNER!
